The Knights were in danger of losing Roy for longer in the series after he met with the league, but ESPN reported that the NHL decided not to suspend Roy. "The NHL Department of Player Safety announced the fine of $7,813, the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement, after a disciplinary hearing with him," the report noted.
