After the Pahalgam terror attack, India has been strengthening both its military and even preparing citizens for any possible potential emergencies. Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan after which the Ministry of Home Affairs has directed nationwide mock drills for May 7.

In an exclusive conversation with Firstpost, Italian Ambassador to India Antonio Bartoli condemned the Pahalgam attack and noted how the terror incident interrupted developments and interests of Kashmir.

Citing sources, ANI reported that UNSC members directly questioned Pakistan over the involvement of the Lashkar-e-Taiba in the 22 April attack, which killed 26 tourists. The meeting, requested by Pakistan under the Greek presidency of the UNSC, lasted over an hour but did not deliver the results Islamabad may have hoped for.
