Jhonattan Vegas maintained his lead at the PGA Championship, where he’s two shots clear of the field after a 1-under 70 Friday at Quail Hollow.

Jhonattan Vegas had the top spot after a 7-under 64. They are closely followed by Stephan Jaeger, Luke Donald and Alex Smalley. Meanwhile, established players like Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, and Scottie Scheffler are facing a tougher challenge.

Back-to-back birdies at 14 and 15 have Scheffler at 5-under for the tournament (2-under on his round). And now just two players — Mathieu Pavon and Matt Fitzpatrick — are between him and leader Jhonattan Vegas. But ... he's got the hardest three-hole stretch on the course ahead of him.
